Most beautiful original French antique silk dress from France circa 1880 , possible made by Jumeau because the typical style and silk fabric of this company !
All hand sewn of beautiful gray-brown silk and striped brown silk wool.Has middle part and long sleeves of the wool , with rounded collar and seven lose wool parts around waistline.
Each front side has a small stripe of silk matching to the upper back . The skirt is box pleated at back and with prices style at front.
Some buttons and a touch of lace ornate the dress as well .
Inside full lined with muslin and a row of lace at hem. Has front closure with hand made button loops and buttons...
Length from shoulder to hem ... circa 11" ( 28 cm ) , waist around circa 12" ( 30 cm ) and shoulder to shoulder ...5,5" ( 14 cm )
The rare and lovely dress has generally excellent condition to age around 1880 .... is only a little dusty !
