From private collection a pretty first period French bisque Bebe by Gaultier with Blockletter mark, most beautiful and rare premiere Bebe ... has small professional repair at her head crown which is only to see in a lamp !!
26" ( 67 cm ) early block letter marking Bebe by Gaultier ... France circa 1878 .... with wonderful all complete expression
Beautiful pale pressed bisque socket head of best quality with brown enamel glass paperweight inset eyes with dark eyeliner , mauve blushed eye shadow , long painted curly lashes and widely feathered brows . Has closed mouth with upturned lips which are fine accented and outlined , has implied modeled tongue and an funny dimple chin , pierced ears and lovely mohair wig over cork pate !
Head mark at back : F. 11 G. (( block letter ))
Here bisque head has an old small professional repair on her head crown which is only to see in a lamp ( please see on my pictures ) !! You can´t see it without and so the small repair dosen´t disturb her ...
She has her original French composition and wooden eight - loose - ball body with original body finish and straight wrists . (( Heads by Gaultier could be found on different French body´s )) .
Wearing beautiful antique white three piece doll costume with matching bonnet , under skirt, stocking and French shoes.
A stunning and rare early Bebe with wonderful quality of pale bisque and painting , original body and lovely wearing ..... a treasure and must have for each collection for half of price of a perfect one !!!
