Rare Childlike French Bisque Bebe Triste by Emile Jumeau

Let´s your Dreams Come True with this most beautiful Bebe by Emile Jumeau known as " Bebe Triste" or " Long Face Jumeau " made in France about 1885.

The rare model was designed and sculpted by the great French artist " Carrier Belleuse " on commission from Maison Jumeau and is now known as " Bebe Triste " in reference to her sad expression !

Very cute childlike 28" ( 71 cm ) doll which has best quality of pale bisque and painting , pressed bisque socket head with elongated and very full cheeks and chin ! Lovely brown hazelnut glass paperweight inset eyes with dark eyeliner , fine painted lashes and mauve blushed eye shadow. Brushstroked brows and accented eye corners . Has closed mouth with deep modeling and shaded and outlined lips. Beautiful separately modeled pierced ears and original mohair wig over her cork pate.

Head mark size 13 / 28" ( 71 cm )

Has her original French composition and wooden fully jointed body with typical straight wrists. Original body finish has small parts of old well done color refresh at her hands ...

Her complete condition is generally excellent , has perfect condition free of chip , damage , hairline or repair , only to inform you about a not disturbing fine factory flaw mold line inside her bisque in her head which is not a problem or to see at outside ... please ask my for special pictures if you need !!!

She is wearing very pretty antique silk garden costume with lovely bonnet. Has her original Chemise and rich set of under garment with French stocking and shoes by Alart .

Most beautiful and rare Bebe has cute facial sad expression with which looks a little girl !!
