Stunning near Mint Polichinelle in Presentation

From an old French collection we can offer a most beautiful near mint condition Polichinelle with his accessory in presentation from 19th. century

A Polichinelle was very popularity in France until after the end of 19th. century and it was the most used symbol on publicity poster or Department Store and luxury Doll Store catalogs in Paris !! They was to find in different sizes and styles but always wearing very lavish and special ....... On popular and funny guy for your collection !!

Near mint in condition about 17" ( 44 cm ) in total size with bonnet has the Polichinelle a pale bisque head with blue glass inset eyes with painted single brows. Has closed mouth and original wig which is with his bonnet original hold on his head.

Papermache torso with typical shaped humps at front and back torso , wooden hands with carved fingers , paper mache lower legs with modeled and painted heeled shoes . Otherwise straw-filled lower limbs .... all in perfect condition.

Wearing very beautiful with light pink and blue silk jester costume ornate with pretty lace cuffs and large jabot , has fully decorate costume with decorative gold paper trim and silk ribbons and matching jester cap ........

On his lovely gold strings which he move up and down ..

Bisque condition are free of damage , hairline , repair or other problem......

Preserved in a very nice presentation box included with a lovely Jester stick matching silk and trim ornate to the Polichinelle and a nice tamborine .

A wonderful and rare to find complete presentation which included finally a little trading card from the luxury Paris doll boutique " Au Paradise des Enfants " !
