Beautiful and rare only " X " mark Bebe commissioned by Maison Jumeau size 10 ( 21" / 54 cm )from circa 1885th. , very rare to find with this Portrait like facial expression .
A stunning and rare to find Bebe produced only over one year , as very delicate pale bisque with very beautifully painted features , stunning blue spiral threading eyes , separately modelled and applied ears! Original lose ball body and finish , wearing superb silk costume with bonnet possible original !!
Has finest quality of pale bisque socked head with stunning light blue glass enamel inset eyes which are rich spiral threading , dark eyeliner and fine painted lashes. Pale rose blushed eye shadow and brush-stroked and feathered brows. She has closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips and little space between lips with dimpled corner. Separately modeled and pierced ears . Sweet dimpled chin and wonderful curled blonde mohair wig over cork pate.
Only " X " 10 mark Bebe with rare facial expression about like a Portrait Bebe , so she is produced of the same or very similar mold as the early portrait dolls by Maison Jumeau !
Original French composition and wooden eight - loose - ball body with original body finish and straight wrists with typical large hands. Body mark at back with blue Jumeau stamp .....
She has generally excellent condition .... free of damage , chip , repair or hairline . Her original body has small color refresh at different place and one of her ears has a very tiny earring hole chip....not disturbing ! Her body has good condition to age and shows the life of a beloved doll :))
The rare doll is beautiful wearing with set of antique under garments , socks and Jumeau mark shoes . Has fantastic two piece silk costume and bonnet which are possible original to the doll !!
