Stunning French bisque Emile Jumeau Bebe in lovely size 9 by Maison E.J. Jumeau , Paris around 1880 ......She was a Christmas gift at 19th. century for a private familie in France !
A wonderful early period Bebe with rich eye decoration , fine creamy and pale pressed bisque , original wig and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body , wearing beautiful original silk dress with bonnet and E.J. shoes all preserved in his original presentation box !!
20" ( 50 cm ) Bebe with pale pressed bisque socket head of best quality and painting , large blue enamel glass inset eyes with dark eyeliner which encircles her eye cute. Fine and long painted lashes , brush stroked and feathered brows.
She has on deep modeled closed mouth with defined pale space between her shaded and accented lips. Pierced ears with original earrings which match to her beautiful dress and original curled blonde mohair wig over cork pate .
Marks at back of her perfect head ; Inside .... 9 E.J. Depose and artist check mark
Generally excellent bisque condition..... free of hairline , damage , repair or other bisque problem !!
Original French all wooden full articulated body with loose ball-joints and original body finish. Jumeau blue stamp at back ...... straight wrist. Has generally good condition to age ... note little color refresh at her hands and arms ...
Stunning wearing with her lovely light green silk costume with bustle back and pretty high brim straw bonnet ...all original outfit to the doll, under garments , Jumeau socks and bee mark shoes with silk rosettes .... one sole are replaced and piece of other are missing ...please see my pictures.Dress has good condition to age .. Preserved for all the many years over a century in her original size 9 presentation box by Maison Jumeau . The box has good condition to age as well !!
Very nice early bisque Bebe of E.J. period with luminous eyes by mauve blushing , rare all original articulated body and gorgeous original clothing !!
The lovely doll was a Christmas gift and was put under the Christmas tree of the familie and could come now under yours if you like :))
