The French doll company by Jules Nicolas Steiner create 1858th. a wonderful and rare to find bisque Bebe inspired by Japanes play dolls at this times . A special beautiful early Bebe called " Motchman Steiner " with lovely body style and fine modeled of all bisque limps and body middle part .
Gorgeous Bebe has domed pale bisque shoulder head with pretty enamel ice - blue enamel inset eyes , dark eyeliner and lushly-painted lashes and brows. Pale rose eye shadow and closed mouth with fine outlined lips. Flat ears without earring holes and lovely original mohair hair wig special made in round style for her domed head . Lovely shoulder plate with modeled breast and shoulders .
Generally excellent head and shoulder plate condition , free of damage , hairline , repair , chip or other bisque problem.................Unmarked !
Original unusual body with limps and body middle part of pale bisque , original muslin covered torso , upper arms and legs . Fine modeled arms and fingers . Pretty bisque under legs with fine modeled bar feet and toes. Lovely bisque belly and buttocks with attached thighs ..... all fine modeled of beautiful details and in generally excellent condition as well !
She wears her original under garments and most beautiful ecru and pink muslin gown with cute Steiner bonnet and a rich trousseau belongs also to this rare doll. Included are some beautiful all hand made clothing for her .... a lovely chemise and wonderful muslin christening gown with lovely bonnet and three white gows as well.
All preserved in a all wooden box where you can find inside a wonderful pink silk pillow where everything is stored included the doll.
A lovely store trading card mentions the store in Paris where it was bought from a private familie for more as 150 years !!
