Let´s your Dreams Come True with this most beautiful Bebe by Emile Jumeau known as " Bebe Triste" or " Long Face Jumeau " made in France about 1885.
The rare model was designed and sculpted by the great French artist " Carrier Belleuse " on commission from Maison Jumeau and is now known as " Bebe Triste " in reference to her sad expression !
She has a hard to see fine old hairline at head side so that it would be a chance to own one of this wonderful and rare dolls for a resonable price as what you have to pay for a perfect one !!! So sweet childlike 28" ( 71 cm ) doll which has good quality of pale bisque and painting , pressed bisque socket head with elongated and very full cheeks and chin ! Pretty blue glass paperweight inset eyes with dark eyeliner , fine painted lashes and mauve blushed eye shadow. Brushstroked brows and accented eye corners . Closed mouth with deep modeling and shaded and outlined lips. Beautiful separately modeled pierced ears and original mohair wig over her cork pate.
Head mark size 13 / 28" ( 71 cm )
Has her original French composition and wooden fully jointed body with typical straight wrists. Original body finish has parts of old well done color refresh.
Her complete condition is generally very good , please note a fine hairline at her head side .... very hard to see with your eyes if you see her in person , please see all on my pictures !!! Please let me know if you need more or special pictures !!
She is wearing very pretty antique French Jumeau garden dress with lovely starw bonnet. Has lovely white eyeled dress all hand made and set of under garment with French stocking and shoes .

Because of her fine and hard to see bisque problem she has only a fraction of her normal price in this rare size 13 !!!
