Wonderfully preserved French Poupee with unusual facial expression in all original condition with superb pale bisque and painting on sturdy original body , gorgeous wearing of all original afternoon woolen bustle gown . All complete generally excellent and ready to dislay and enjoy .....
Size 5 French poupee about 21" ( 55 cm ) with lovely pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate , all of pale quality has unusual and stunning facial expression .
Dramatic almond shaped blue glass enamel eyes like a portrait poupee with dark eyeliner and fine painted long lashes . Feathered brows and closed mouth with fine outlined lips and hint of smile at her mouth.
Pierced ears and lovely original blonde mohair wig over cork pate . She owns her original sturdy kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips , knees and elbows .... stitched and separate fingers....all in generally perfect condition , to note only a well done kid repair at one of her upper legs .... ( please see my pictures).
Her complete condition is generally excellent , bisque are free of damage , chip , hairline or repair !!
Made in France around 1868/70 , head mark size 5
Complete wearing all original set of undergarments with stocking and booties. Gorgeous original two piece woolen gown with bustle and cap , note and accept repaired melting parts about the age on the wonderful gown!
