From my own collection comes this gorgeous and super rare pressed bisque mannequin head with original bust by Leon Casimir Bru from France around 1877 / 80 in wonderful and all original condition !!
Maison Bru produced only a very small amount of wonderful life size mannequin bisque heads with bust , special produced for display windows for special luxury shops or hairdressers in Paris at 1880th.
This heads was only for windows display of shops from Jewelers , Hairdresser or luxury Milliners shops !
Only a small group are exist , this look´s very similar by " Empress Eugenie " or smiling Bru poupee . She has very choice pressed bisque and exquisitely painting , wonderful original wig and silk bonnet .
About 17" in total size , has finest pale pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder bust , stunning blue inset glass eyes and finest painting of long lashes and feathered brows. Closed mouth with upturned lip corners for her lovely smile on her mouth. Pierced ears and original mohair wig over cork pate . Pierced ears and superb modeled bust with shoulders and detailed bust .
Very rare treasure in Museum quality from the best Doll companie in France at 19th. century , has generally all complete excellent condition .... free of damage , repair , hairline or other problem.
