It´s a rare found from a house of south-side at France ,a pretty all wooden French poupee body from circa 1868th. .... has good condition to age and is a rare found to complete a wonderful French fashion doll .
A all leather covered wooden body with wooden legs and bisque forearms . Is well movable has dowel articulation at shoulders , elbows , hips and knees.
Has beautiful original plump bisque forearms with fine modeling of fingers with nails , note well done three finger tips repair at the right arm and he has a hairline as well .... please see all on my pictures. The left bisque arm is in excellent condition ....
The rare body has missing parts of the leather cover , please see my pictures but all possible to repair .The wooden legs was never covered with leather and has the original finish .
The original breast plate are included but has a hairline repair as well.
Perfect and rare body to complete a wonderful French poupee size 4 with total size around 17"/18" ( 44 - 46 cm )
It is in condition as we found it.
Total high from feet to shoulder ...... 13,5" ( 34 cm ).. without the breast plate and with it circa 14 3/4" ( 38 cm )
Shoulder to shoulder length.....circa 4" ( 10 cm )without the bisque plate and with it 5" ( 13 cm )
Shoulder to shoulder bottom width...... 2 1/4 " ( 6 cm )
