Let´s your Dreams Come True with this most beautiful Bebe by Emile Jumeau known as " Bebe Triste" or " Long Face Jumeau " from France circa 1885.
This rare model was designed and sculpted by the great French artist " Carrier Belleuse " on commission from Maison Jumeau and is now known as " Bebe Triste " in reference to her sad expression !
She has good quality of pale bisque and painting , pressed bisque socket head with elongated and very full cheeks and chin , has with your eyes not to see professional well done head repair so that it would be a chance to own one of this wonderful and rare dolls for a small price like what you have to pay for a perfect one !!!
She has pretty brown glass paperweight inset eyes with dark eyeliner , fine painted lashes and mauve blushed eye shadow. Brushstroked brows and accented eye corners . Closed mouth with deep modeling and shaded and outlined lips.
Beautiful separately modeled pierced ears and pretty blonde mohair wig over her cork pate.
Head mark size 11 / 22" ( 57 cm )
Has her original French composition and wooden loose 8 balls fully jointed body with typical straight wrists.Original body finish and body mark with blue Jumeau stamp.
Her complete condition is generally very good , please note a very well done professional repair at her left head side .... very hard to see with your eyes if you see her in person , please see all on my pictures !!! Please let me know if you need more or special pictures !!
She is wearing very pretty antique French blue silk dress with starw bonnet. Has set of under garment with French stocking and shoes by Alart .
Most beautiful and rare 22" ( 57 cm ) Bebe with very nice all complete expression with sad face , has original body and body finish and wonderful costume.
Because of her fine and hard to see bisque problem she has only a fraction of her normal price !!!
