Rare Twill over Wood Teen Poupee by Simon and Halbig for French Market

Rare enfantine bisque poupee with special rare to find body style of twill over wood , made for the French market by Simon and Halbig circa 1878/80 .Has exceptional detail of modeling on pale bisque quality , masterpiece of painting and wearing most beautiful antique enfantine clothing !

Very hard to find 10" ( 26 cm ) ..... darling round-faced poupee child has swivel bisque head on kid - edged bisque shoulder plate , elongated plump throat and very beautiful almond - shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes with dark eyeliner encircling the eye-sockets. Superbly fine painted lashes on heavy eyelids. Finest feathered arched brows and accented nostrils and eye corners . Closed mouth with accent line between her lips and hint of smile at her mouth , original blonde mohair wig over cork pate .

Mosr beautiful enfantine poupee with rare body style of small twill over wood dowel jointing at shoulders , elbows , wrists , hips and knees . Has very beautiful bisque bisque arms with well modeled fingers jointed together with separate thumbs .

Has all complete condition as is ....generally good but note a very fine short hairline at head front .... only to see in a lamp . Thumb repair at right hand and repair at her left one ( see all on my pictures or let me know about special ones ) . Otherwise has her bisque head no chips , repair or damage and her micro fine short hailine is not disturbing and covered complete by her wig.

Wearing pretty antique enfantine dress with bustle back and matching silk bonnet , pretty set of under wearing with bustle pillow , stocking and lovel red French shoes.
