Attic Found Fashionable Poupee for the French Market with Wood Body

From a rich house in Paris comes this nice Lady , it was found in a cabinet on the attic and was there more as 100 years.

Unfortunately the doll is not in perfect condition but she is pretty , needs nice clothing and your LOVE and she would be a little beauty again.

The 15" ( 38 cm ) doll was made for the French market , circa 1875 ..... by Simon and Halbig , has a very beautiful face with warm and gentle expression , lovely pale bisque and painting at bisque swivel head on kid - edged bisque shoulder plate.

Has pretty blue glass inset eyes with thick eyeliner and finest painted lashes and brows. Here closed mouth has a hint of smile on the fine outlined lips. In-side the head pierced flat ears and blond mohair wig, note missing cork pate .

She has on French kid - over - wooden body with shapely torso , dowel - jointing at shoulders , elbows , hips and knees with wood legs and bisque arms to above the elbows.

About her condition...... She is in attic condition and has on professional repair at her for-head ( very hard to see without lamp ) , otherwise free of hairline or other problem...... perfect bisque shoulder plate .

The body has replaced bisque arms which are in perfect condition , her right elbow are not movable and her left wood leg has small missing wood piece at her toes. Finally missing layer paint at her wood legs .

I´m sure she would be a very beautiful doll with on pretty costume ............
