Very beautiful and rare to find all original Polichinelle Bisque Bebe in factory original condition for the French market ... circa 1890 / 1900
On Polichinelle was the most popularity character at the end of 19th. century. It was most often too find in France advertising Etrennes catalogs and publicity posters .... as typical symbols for the world of playing. Special 1886 he was offered in five different sizes in the catalog of " Grands Magasins de Louvre " The Polichinell was offered in different materials and style ... like Paper-Mache and on luxury model like this beautiful one with pretty bisque head.
He is in all original condition , with best quality of bisque and painting and original silk sateen outfit in cream and red fully ornate with gild trim and lace .
Beautiful bisque head with sweet face expression ,has pretty inset blue glass eyes with fine painted lashes and eyeliner . Lushly painted brows and open mouth with and row of tiny porcelain teeth between his shaded and outlined lips.
Dimple chin and pierced ears , original blonde mohair wig .
All perfect condition .... free of damage , chip , hairline or repair and mark at back ; S . H . 1079 - 6 Dep

The doll has on five piece paper-mache body with original body finish , wearing all factory original with wonderful silk sateen outfit ...typical sewn on the body .
Typical characteristic torso and back humps at upper part of his Polichinelle suit , matching jester cap , each trimmed with gold braid and frings. Has socks and original velvet shoes with ribbon and gold trim decoration matching to the suit !
All complete in generally excellent condition.... has small melting parts at the original costume...not disturbing at the age of this guy !
