Stunning rare found of all original French Nun Poupee in her original costume from a privat family in France . The rare doll belonged to an aunt of the family who spent the most of her life in the convent.
Outstanding 18" ( 46 cm ) all original French poupee attributed by Jumeau with best quality of bisque and painting , wonderful large eyes and pale expression , original kid poupee body and beautiful wearing all complete nun costume .
Here pale bisque swivel head on kid edged bisque shoulder plate is in generally excellent condition , free of damage , chip , repair or hairline. To note only a tiny not disturbing fire line at one of her ears ... please see my pictures !!
Has very beautiful blue enamel inset eyes with dark eyeliner and finest painted lashes and brows.Has closed mouth with fine outlined lips and unusual un-pierced ears, short dark brown wig over cork pate !!
She has her original French kid body with gusset - jointing at elbows , hips and knees , stitched and separate fingers. Her body is in generally good condition to age ... note a small kid patch at one of her wrist... note on my picture. Otherwise good ....
Original wearing in wonderful " Nun" Costume with undergarments , stocking and simple leather shoes . All complete from the doll time era , all hand sewn of fine cotton and hand woven linen . Her cape has repaired and un-repaired melting parts , her black linen dress as well .
