Rare to find larger size about 21" ( 53 cm ) Poupee of very beautiful smiling Bru ...... an stunning version of the very popular " Mona Lisa Bru " Poupee of one of the best French Doll Factory in Paris at the 19th. century ..... by Leon Casimir Bru circa 1870/ 72 inspired by Empress Eugenie !!

Special the most beautiful deposed model like this doll is believed to portray of French Empress Eugenie , she has an face like an angel with best of the best quality of pale bisque and painting . Bisque swivel head on kid edged bisque shoulder plate with elongated throat of slender oval face with very gentle expression . She has wonderful almond shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes with dark outer rim and eyeliner , fine painted long lashes and brows . Elegant distinguished modeled nose and closed mouth with finest outlined and shaded lips and enigmatic smile . Slightly red cheeks and pierced ears with original earrings. Blonde mohair wig ( replaced ) over original cork pate .

Original firmly stuffed kid poupee body with shapely torso and kid arms with separated fingers , body condition generally excellent but note repair at her left arm and fingers.... please see my pictures or ask about extra pics.

The complete condition of this fantastic doll is generally excellent , bisque are free of damage , repair , hairline or chip . Head mark at back ; J and Depose at forehead

Wearing very beautiful all original antique turquoise silk satin bustle costume with fine hand made lace decoration , matching velvet silk bonnet , rich set of under garment with socks and leather shoes .
