An outstanding and rare to find beauty in large size 8 / 26" ( 67 cm ) by Pierre-Francois Jumeau around 1870/75 , from the golden years of Jumeau poupee production comes this gorgeous portrait fashion doll !
She is in rare large size and all original included her afternoon gown , body and rest of wig , has wonderful face expression with best quality of bisque and painting !!
Pale pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate , wonderful almond - shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes with sad expression , dark eyeliner and wonderful painted lashes and feathered brows. Mauve blushed eye shadow , rose cheeks and closed mouth with fine modeling of accented lips ! Pierced ears and rest of original blonde mohair wig over cork pate . Original French kid gusset jointed body with stitched and separate fingers and toe .
She was found for a couple of weeks on an attic of the country side in France and she would offer so as she was found !
Her beautiful bisque head has on fine hairline at front ..... very hard to see with your eyes ...... and on old crack behind her left ear and at back of head. Please see all on my pictures or let me know if you need more or other photos.
Her bisque shoulder plate are excellent and her kid body has some repair and on hand repair , please see also the pictures !
The doll is wearing in her original underskirt , an afternoon silk gown which has fragile netting decoration at skirt and jacket , on nice winter set of collar and muff and on nice black velvet head. The dress has some color different in the silk , see pictures !!
Rare to find large portrait poupee which would catch your heard and you will fall in love with this fantastic face . ..... I´m sure !!
In excellent condition it would cost around $8500 and more and you have here a chance to buy one of this gracefulness Jumeau poupee beauties for a small part of dollar !!
