Rare French Single Room Schoolhouse

On rare to find wooden " Maison D`Ecole " in unusual cabinet ..... in all original condition from France at 19th. century .... very beautiful 17" x 12" x 11" ( 43 x 31 x 28 cm ) wooden box which hinges open to reveal a nice single room school .

The walls inside decorated with four geometric charts of parts from France . On 7" ( 18 cm ) bisque head teacher stands behind her lectern , this little lady has tiny glass inset eyes and on open mouth with tiny teeth , has original wig and five piece body , original clothing .

Six all bisque Mignonette students sit at wooden desks with lesson sheets ...... the little girls are all around 3 1/2" ( 9 cm ) , each has painted face features and closed mouth.

Five piece all bisque body with movable limps , painted shoes and socks. All similar wearing with black school dress and different head piece . Some other school items are included the interior ..... on blackboard , on faux-clock , little books and much more !!

The school wooden box is outside pretty decorate with well detailed lithographed paper designs of schoolhouse exterior. Front door labelled , mansard roof !

This one room schoolhouses was advertised in different style and interior at the 19th. century in the Etrennes catalog of the paris departmant store " Au Bon Marche " .........

All together rare to find and complete in generally excellent condition, come.... let´s go to school ...... let´s play and enjoy !!!!!
