Most beautiful French Navy style Bebe costume with matching bonnet for French or German doll about circa 18" (45-46cm).....fit perfect for Bru , Steiner , Jumeau , Eden Bebe or other pretty doll.
The complete outfit are most hand sewn of dark blue cashmere wool ornate with fine trim , French lace , hand embroidery and Jumeau red color silk and silk velvet ribbons .
The longer front part has fine small cotton strips matching to the dress collar.
Hand embroidery cotton trim ornate the middle of front , the wrist around the long sleeves and also the neckline of the dress.
The same pretty trim you can find also at the side and back side of the skirt , which is also ornate with lace and cream silk ribbons.
Beautiful red silk ribbons decorate the front and waistline at back , which end in long parts there.
The dress is inside fine lined with soft cream cotton and has on organza and cotton slip with lace decoration at hem. It is to close at back with small hooks and loops.
The collar would hold at the front side with hooks and tiny loops.
To the dress belongs a beautiful matching bonnet of the same wool as the dress.....in head round style with large silk velvet bow in Jumeau red color. It is inside lined with cream cotton.......
Finally decoration on the dress and bonnet ...... a nice metal anchor brooch !!
Wonderful two piece costume in generally excellent fabric condition at the 19th. century , note only a very tiny hole at one front side and another tiny one at the back of collar ( please see my pictures) and a small wool repair at one sleeve.
A stunning outfit for one of your circa 18" doll´s...... you will never find such the same again !!!
