Fantastic light blue and cream silk and velvet costume with matching bonnet fit perfect for French or German Doll about around 22" /23" ( 56 - 58 cm ) .... for Jumeau , Bru , Steiner , FG , Eden Bebe or other pretty doll.
It is on most hand sewn one of a kind couture outfit with marvelous dress of antique cream silk sateen, pale blue velvet and cream and blue striped silk for the skirt.
Elegant ruffles front part with small lace decoration around the neckline.
Both front sides and back of the upper dress part are from French pale blue velvet with light blue silk collar and rich decoration of hand made silk cord trim.
It has 3/4 long velvet sleeves with puff at shoulders , light blue silk cuffs with silk cord trim and lace ruffles around the wrist.
Most beautiful skirt part of light blue and cream striped silk covered with fine hand embroidery lace and inside lined with cream cotton slip .
The dress is to close at back side with metal hooks and eyes and it is fully lined with cream cotton.
To the dress belongs a wonderful balloon bonnet of light blue velvet with cream silk ribbon and lace decoration matching to the dress.
Finally ornate with on bouquet of silk and wax flowers , silk cord and a pretty bow.
It is inside lined with gauze ......
A most beautiful outfit in generally excellent fabric and lace condition at the 19th. century ..... note only a tiny part at the silk sateen in front between the ruffled part has a small broken place, but this is not disturbing.
