Breathtaking large bisque Poupee by Gaultier ..... circa 1870 ..... with very pretty quality of bisque and painting accented by gorgeous very deep blue eyes and dramatic painting of eyeliner and lashes.
28" ( 72 cm ) poupee with best quality of bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulder plate .
She has wonderful deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading and thick dark eyeliner.
Finest painted curly lashes and arched feathered brows . Accented nostrils and eye corners .
Closed mouth with very full outlined lips , pierced ears and original blonde mohair wig over cork pate.
Here beautiful bisque head and shoulder plate is free of damage , hairline, chip or other problems ......all perfect condition !
Original French kid poupee body with gusset - jointing at hips , knees , and elbows , stitched and separate fingers and toes in generally excellent condition.
Note a small repair at her knees...well done and not disturbing !!
Wearing very beautiful original watercolor silk gown with pretty lace decoration in beautiful colors. Pretty straw hat with flowers decoration , undergarments , socks and shoes !!
